BAS

My third game is another stollen idea. I played the wonderful game BAS by Yokozuna on Pico-8 https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?tid=54986

I thought it was great and became instantly addicted, of course, I wanted to create a similar version on the Gameboy!

Lots of learning once again.. I discovered that you can't have too many sprites in a row or it causes glitches. Lots of saw animations cause glitches. Level size is limited and many other things.

I am happy with the way the game turned out however, it does stutter slightly when the level ends and the new level kicks in, but I removed some saws from that area to prevent accidental death.
