Squarenose Jump

Story

Squarenose has been diligently working for Doctor Megan in the True Pasta laboratories, where genetically modified animals have been testing experimental new pet food.  The perfect formula will be used to produce meaty rings that will be eaten by cats and dogs in our sweet homes. But disaster has struck as the experimental pet food has driven the animals into a wild frenzy; surely it is foul play! Old Ram, the leader in the pet food market, will stop at nothing to maintain its dominance in the lucrative industry. Can Squarenose survive the relentless aggression of the wild animals that are approaching?

Develpment

Originally, this game was a carbon copy of the WarioWare Jump game from the Game Boy Advance. I used the sprites from the WarioWare game and enemies from Wario Land and mashed them together. To make the game slightly more original, I took the sprites from the Squarenose remake and threw them into the mix. 

Future

I think this is a fun little time-waster game, and trying to beat a high score or challenge friends is addictive. It could use some music or animal sound effects to break the silence. The menu could do with tidying up, and adding some achievements would be nice. I seem to get the basics of a game working and then find it hard to include rewards and things. In the future, I should really plan things out a little more.
